The Birth of Covenant Financial Ministries

In the early 1990’s God impressed upon Stephen Hammond the need to teach the Spirit-filled born-again believers the Biblical financial principals of stewardship.   In 1993 He established Christian Values Investing Inc. in Savannah, Georgia--- one of the first “fee-only” investment advisory firms in the State with an emphasis in Christian Worldview Investing. Mr. Hammond believed that a faithful steward of God’s money should only invest into businesses and organizations that reflect Christian values. As Mr. Hammond grew the investment advisory he taught stewardship in his local church and has been a frequent speaker at various churches but felt that God had more for him to do.

   Convinced that Christians are to be blessed of God in the area of finances and investments, he wrote the book Mission Possible: An Investment Guide for Christians. Mr. Hammond believes that God has called him to teach, encourage, an inspire others toward faithful stewardship in all God has given them. So in 2005, Mr. Hammond formed Covenant Financial Ministries.
